This should be fine. There are other makes offering higher magnification though. I have one of these on each of my cameras.

I use one of the KPS 1.3x ones, discussion about it here. Great addition. Lots of them on ebay.

I like the cone-shaped eyepiece too. It cuts out a lot of ambient light, is comfortable, and reduces the amount of face marks you leave on the rear LCD screen. The one minor niggle is that the lower 5mm of it slightly obscures the LCD. I've been meaning to slice that part off mine. The cone bit folds back on itself when you put the camera back into the bag.
