Post HDR Projects 4 (Franzis)

Anyone used this or any other of their image processing packages? HDR isn't a favourite of mine because most examples you see are so unsubtle as to be pretty ghastly (unless this stuff floats your boat Sad )

It's currently on promo through a n other Pentax user group until 16/05/16 at 65% off, so just £25. Works as a Lightroom plug-in according to the blurb.

You don't have to be shy here about naming other sites or systems on my account. No hangups - or sensitive sponsors or advertisers to worry about here! Laughing

Information needs to be free - to misquote Aaron Swartz.

OK LB - anyone with a membership of Pentax User will have rec'd an e-mail about this. I'm tempted as £25 won't break the bank but would like to know if anyone else of tried this package or any of it's stable mates

Thanks for the link Algernon. Comments about quality of the natural looking HDR of most interest as you'd guess from my opening comments about my pet hates.

I remember having EasyHDR v2+ on XP a few years ago. It was very good for opening up shadows etc. from just one shot and that was probably just a JPG. Results looked natural.

I agree with that article comparing different HDR photo software - despite being rather expensive in comparison with competitors https://aurorahdr.com still looks the best. I think it's worth it's price, taking into account they have lots of special offers and currently offer a bundle with a tool for animating photos. Take a look, it's fantastic even to watch, not speaking about editing process Wink
