Are you using the built in flash or a hotshoe flash?

If hotshoe flash, what flashgun are you using?

The built in one then ?!

Ok, next! What subjects/distance/camera mode/ISO etc? Can you post an image up for us to see? Preferably with EXIF data included.

Photos are overexposed when i shoot with large aperture (F2/2.8), in fact i'm looking for some rules to be well exposed : distance / aperture / speed ...

What mode is the camera in ?

Obviously the camera is letting too much light onto the sensor but we need to determine why, hence me asking you to post up an image for us to see with EXIF data included. For all we know its a super bright sunny day, you have ISO 6400 selected and trying to shoot at 1/180th @ f2 !!!

As the camera uses P-TTL have you tried putting the camera into manual mode, selecting set shutter and apertures like 1/90th @ f2.8 and using the shutter release slide feature stop down to check on the rear screen if its correctly exposed? In the camera menu, can't remember where now you can choose if the shutter release slide feature either stops the lens down or gives a digital display. I have mine set to digital display so I can actually see on the screen what's going on. I press the info button then so I can also view the histrogram as well. Then you can adjust the ISO or the shutter to let more light in/out.

I find the P-TTL flash to be rather spot on nearly all of the time, yes it can be fooled but its normally pretty good hence me asking for an image so we can see whats 'occuring like !

OK i've found it : the best way to use it is to put the Av mode, ISO auto and everything will be ok ! TAv and manuel mode are as good because when you put the flash exposure or ISO don't change. Thanks for your help.

Yes it does. One of my common mistakes is popping up the flash in TAv mode and getting a white frame becuase the camera has selected ISO51200 becuase it's dark Smile

Yes true Smeggypants ! Cool

2 more tips :

1/ I've also improve the white balance by leveling down the high lights contrast.. now looks great

2/ One more tip, when i shoot with large aperture (F2) light looks more natural, tones are great. But when i decrease the aperture (F>8), light is more and more white.
