The mounting assembly of the lens contacting the cameras mounting ring is the 0v or return path of the signal chain ( IIRC regardless of whether your tubes have 6 or 7 contacts - mine have 7 ) . Jessops tubes stupidly failed to observe this and adonised their tubes thus breaking the circuit. I had to get some emery cloth and make the circuit good.
